▪️ Yves, what are you passionate about ?
I am passionate to understand customers or industry challenges and to bring innovative and competitive solutions to the problems while developing strong teams and develop an ecosystem to tackle large problems. And off course to win new business.
▪️ What do you work on ?
Recently I have been working on providing situation awareness solutions, i.e. making pilots aware of surroundings and potential hazards, for safer flights in helicopters. Autonomous flights are also a fast-growing field, either for single pilot operations or for Urban Air Mobility aircrafts, this requires specific processing solutions supporting machine vision technology, based on artificial intelligence.
▪️ Why did you decide to create GAIN ?
Mercury is one of the first member of GAIN, we saw the importance to create synergies between companies active in aerospace in the Geneva region. Aerospace is a very specialized industry with stringent quality, manufacturing norms, safety, and long-life cycle products.
The motivation is to promote the region as an actor in the Aerospace industry providing comprehensive solutions from mechanics, electronics, and services.
▪️ What do you like the most about it ?
I really enjoy the collaborative teamwork among the members and the continuous development of additional work streams to jointly foster business development, innovation, quality and recently sustainability. The members benefit by sharing experience and building synergies across our core competences.
